There are five library clerks on staff.
The Board of Trustees has nine appointed members.
The Board meets the first Wednesday of each month, at 7 pm.
Ongoing Programs:
The Paxton Book Club meets the third Thursday of each month, at 6:30 pm.
September through May, Preschool Story Hour is presented every Tuesday and Thursday
morning at 10 am, for children aged 5 and under. Beginning September
5th, bring your child
to the library for stories and activities.
Things You Need to Know:
Paxton Carnegie Library provides over 26,000 volumes, plus 73
periodicals for adults and 10 for children, 4 newspapers, 900 videos, 300
audio books, microfilm, vertical file materials, city and county history,
large print books, computers and FAX for public use, a drive-up book drop,
public internet access, OCLC, and programs for adults and children.
Books circulate for two-week loan periods, periodicals for
one week, and videos for two days. Fines are levied for overdue items.
All residents of the City of Paxton may secure a library
card without fee. Non-residents pay an annual fee. Library cards
must be presented by borrowers each time materials are checked out.
